Dr. Janelle C. Frederick is the creator and founder of this women of color pelvic floor therapist directory. She's from Huntsville, AL where she graduated in 2013 with a B.S. in Pre-Physical Therapy from Oakwood University. She then received her doctorate in physical therapy at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA in 2015. In late 2018, she began the Women's Health Physical Therapy Residency Program at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago and after completing the program, she obtained her Board Certified Women's Health Specialty credentialing in 2020 (WCS). She then worked at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, for two years treating sexual pain, post partum perineal tears, incontinence, prolapse, and vaginismus.
She currently lives in Huntsville, AL with her husband and is the founder and CEO of Vagina Rehab Doctor- a global pelvic telehealth company focusing on accelerated remote care for lifelong vaginismus, vulvodynia and chronic painful sex. Her mission is to teach women and people worldwide suffering with the shame of sexual pain and vaginismus how to love their bodies and love their sex lives!

Dr. Martina Mapa is from Harare, Zimbabwe and graduated from UT Health San Antonio in 2020 with her DPT. She has been treating solely pelvic floor dysfunction after completing the Women's Health Residency Program at Washington University in St Louis. In Spring 2023, she passed her specialty boards and is now a Woman's Certified Specialist for pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. Dr. Ciara Scott is originally from Riverside, CA but she grew up in northern Indiana. She graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from Loma Linda University in 2018.
